WATCH: Phil Salt left stunned after losing wicket to Ben Dwarshuis in AUS vs ENG 1st ODI

During the first ODI of the five-match series in between In England again AustraliaEnglish starter Phil Salt he was left stunned after losing his wicket to the Aussie opener Ben Dwarshuis. The incident took place on Thursday 19 September at Trent Bridge, Nottingham, where both teams were eager to gain momentum in the series.

Time for Phil Salt’s shock

Salt, known for his style of batting, was looking to build a strong base for England after winning the toss and electing to bat first. However, in a moment that left fans and players alike in disbelief, Salt misjudged Dwarshuis’ delivery, leading to his dismissal. The left-arm seamer, who made his international debut at the age of 30, did well in the 8th over of the first innings to catch Salt off guard, resulting in a clean dismissal.

Australia lead 1-0

Australia secured an impressive 7-wicket victory over England in a high-scoring encounter, they chased down a target of 316 in just 44 overs. Led by the incredible unbeaten 154 from Travis Head and 77* strong with Marnus LabuschagneAustralia overcame the English bowling attack to win comfortably.

Matthew Potts, Jacob Bella again Liam Livingstone got a wicket each for England.

Earlier, England posted a total of 315 in 49.4 overs. Ben Duckett the highest score is 95 (91), and Will Jacks scored 62 runs. The Australian bowlers continued to press, with Labuschagne once again Adam Zampa both took 3 wickets, finishing with figures of 3-39 and 3-49, respectively.
