The September international break is thankfully over, so we’ve been back to enjoying club football this past week.
And how was the week of club football.
There have been local derbies, record-breaking victories, and spectacular goals scored across Europe as the UEFA Champions League returns.
Here’s our pick of the top ten teams in Europe after week four of the 2024/25 campaign.
Are things completely clicked for Real Madrid yet?
Not quite, but they still have the individual quality to win a lot of football games.
Despite their lackluster form, Los Blancos have won their last three games in all competitions, including a crucial Champions League clash with Stuttgart in midweek.
After watching them record their biggest UEFA Champions League win in front of a raucous Parkhead crowd, we’ve got Celtic on the list.

Leverkusen means business.
Against a PSV Eindhoven side who have scored 20 goals in five Eredivisie games in 2024/25, Thiago Motta’s new Juventus face their biggest test to date on Tuesday evening.
And they passed it with flying colors.
A 3-1 win at the Allianz Stadium, inspired by new 10th signing Kenan Yildiz, showed that Juve could be good enough to compete again in the final stages of the Champions League.
If Eric Garcia hadn’t received his marching orders within the first 10 minutes of Thursday’s clash with Monaco, there’s a good chance Barcelona would be top of the table this week.
That red card ended up costing Barca their 100% record at the start of the new campaign, Monaco securing a stunning 2-1 victory in a packed Stade Louis II.
Five games = five wins.
Paris Saint-Germain have been cruising in Ligue 1, but they were certainly made to work for their Champions League triumph by Girona.
