Rishabh Pant’s unusual training

On the 3rd day of the exam, Rishabh PantIndia’s wicketkeeper-batsman, showed his unique coaching skills when he gave advice to the Bangladesh captain Najmul Hossain Shanto about the placement of the field. As Pant prepared to face the bowler, he saw a gap in the field on the leg side and quickly pointed to Shanto.

“Hey, put the fielder here. There are no multiplayers here,” Pant said to Shanto, pointing to a vacant lot. Surprisingly, Shanto followed Pant’s suggestion and sent the player to the maternity ward.

This incident brought back memories of a similar situation during the meeting ODI World Cup 2019 when MS DhoniPant’s predecessor in the white-ball format, advised the Bangladesh all-rounder Sabbir Rahman repositioning the square-leg fielder. Like Shanto, Sabbir also followed Dhoni’s advice without hesitation.

India’s dominance continues in the Chennai Test

Despite this funny incident, India continued to dominate the game. Their strong first innings complete and good bowling performance put Bangladesh on the back foot. On day 3, Shubman Gill and Pant showed their batting prowess, which continues to humiliate the visitors for centuries.

Despite a promising start to the match, Bangladesh’s batting has struggled throughout the Test. Their top order failed, and they were unable to capitalize on the early wickets they were able to take. Indian bowling attack, led by Jasprit Bumrahit proved to be too much for the tourists.
