Pistons, StockX Announce Jersey Patch Sponsorship
The Detroit Pistons and StockX, an online marketplace for sneakers and apparel, announced the jersey collaboration on Wednesday. The company’s logo will be stitched on the left front of Pistons jerseys beginning in the 2024-25 NBA season.
Detroit Pistons, StockX has agreed to a multi-year deal to feature a uniform patch on the front of the jersey.
StockX has reportedly signed a multi-year deal, according to The Athletic. The online marketplace will replace United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM) as the patch’s franchise sponsor.
The new funding is appropriate considering that both Motor City properties are based in Detroit. UWM, owned by Phoenix Suns majority owner Matt Ishbia, has worn the team’s uniforms for the past three seasons.
Rich Haddad, Pistons COO and CLO, sees the partnership with StockX as a perfect fit since Detroit players already buy sneakers there. However, players will not receive free shoes or discounts with this new partnership.
The Pistons have announced StockX as their new jersey sponsor this season.
StockX is a Detroit-based resale marketplace for sneakers, apparel and other products. This is the first jersey sponsor headquartered in this city.

“Discounts and things like that we’re not really in a position to do because of NBA rules,” Haddad told Complex in an interview. “I can tell you that our players are going to be blown away by this — they love StockX. … We’ve always touted StockX as a global brand with roots and authenticity in Detroit.
“We are both committed to this community, and we are both committed to this city. We are both proud of the work we do in and around Detroit. … This is really an opportunity to work together to expand all of that.”
StockX founder Greg Schwartz grew up attending sports in Detroit
Greg Schwartz, StockX founder, president, and COO, is also a Detroit native who grew up attending Pistons games. StockX will also be the presenting partner for the Pistons’ tunnel walk-ins.
“I was eight years old when they won in 1989,” Schwartz told Complex. “Therefore, there is a deep history that I myself am a fan of the team.
“I think it only speaks to how true this relationship is when it is not only the leadership in the organizations, but also the team that appreciates what we do together. What they are wearing is very similar to our catalog.”
Additionally, the Pistons and StockX will celebrate the start of their deal on Wednesday with the Detroit Kickback. The free event will be held at Campus Martius Park in downtown Detroit from 12:30 pm to 5 pm.
Detroit icons including Big Sean, Jalen Rose, Lindsey Hunter, and Pistons guard Cade Cunningham will be in attendance.
StockX has previously been a jersey sponsor with G League Ignite, but this will be its first NBA deal. The company also has signage at the home court of the Pistons’ G League team, Motor City Cruise.
