Greg Monroe joins the Pelicans

Greg Monroe will join the New Orleans Pelicans coaching staff in a player development role, according to Christian Clark of the New Orleans Times-Picayune.

Selected as the seventh pick in the 2010 NBA Draft, Monroe enjoyed a successful professional career, averaging 13.0 points and 8.2 rebounds per game in addition to 646 regular season appearances spanning ten seasons.

He has played for various teams, including the Detroit Pistons, Milwaukee Bucks, Phoenix Suns, Boston Celtics, Toronto Raptors, Philadelphia 76ers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Washington Wizards, and Utah Jazz.
