The shot appeared to be heading for the boundary, but Pandya, placed at deep mid-wicket, raced a long way to the left, covering the field with incredible speed. Running at full tilt, Pandya lunged forward and made a clean, low catch just inches from the boundary, sending the crowd into frenzy.

The balance, judgment, and timing shown by Pandya was nothing short of extraordinary. Although he had to cover a lot of ground, he was able to defend the ball strongly, showing his athleticism and commitment on the field. The dramatic moment proved crucial for India, as it further disrupted Bangladesh’s already struggling chase.

Rishad Hossain, who had scored 9 runs off 10 balls, including two boundaries, was dismissed due to Pandya’s brilliance. His dismissal left Bangladesh reeling at a critical moment, and from there, they were unable to recover, ending up with 135/9 in their 20 overs.

India’s dominance marks the series win

With this win, India took a 2-0 lead in the three-match series. India’s bowling attack, led by Varun Chakravarthy (2/19), Nitish Reddy (2/23) and others, kept the pressure on the visitors, ensuring an easy victory. However, the most memorable moment was Pandya’s brilliant catch, which effectively ended Bangladesh’s hopes of a comeback.

At the beginning of the day, India posted a formidable total of 221/9led by Nitish Reddy’s explosive 74 off 34 balls and Rinku Singh’s crucial 53. Rishad Hossain was the pick of the Bangladesh bowlers, taking 3 wickets for 55 runs.

India now enter the third and final T20I with a chance to complete the series sweep, while Bangladesh will look for a consolation win.
