Root overtakes Alastair Cook to become England’s leading run-scorer in Tests

Root’s fifth century in 2024: Re-leading England’s batting
Root’s century at Multan was his fifth in 2024, making him joint leader Kamindu Mendis in hundreds of tests this year.
