Golf Business News – IAGTO launches its three global golf tourism marketing meetings for 2025

The agreements are:

  • The 11th Asia Golf Tourism Convention (AGTC) in Danang, Vietnam, from April 2-4, 2025
  • 3rd IAGTO European Convention (IEC) in Gran Canaria, Spain, from 19-21 May, 2025
  • The 16th North America Golf Tourism Convention (NAC) in Birmingham, Alabama, from June 17-19, 2025

Established in 1997, IAGTO (International Association of Golf Tour Operators) is the global trade association for the golf tour industry with over 2,200 member companies in 92 countries, including 668 golf operators in 68 countries, responsible for over 90 % of all golf. f holiday packages sold worldwide.

IAGTO Chief Executive, Peter Walton, said: “We are proud to run the most productive, affordable and exciting golf trade fairs in our industry, catering to all golf destinations and markets.

“Each of our three events focuses on the areas in that area, attracting local and international golfers who sell those areas. Working as an industry membership organization enables us to keep the cost of participation to a minimum, while also ensuring that all interactions between buyers and suppliers are important.”

Walton added: “Positions are only arranged where buyers and suppliers agree to meet. That may sound obvious, but it has become the basis for the success of all IAGTO events.

As an example, the 780 delegates who attended this year’s IEC received an average score of 9.2 out of 10 for overall satisfaction – which we expect to be close to the summit of any travel trade event.

“In this same study, 97% of sales reps responded that they had meetings that resulted in new business and, overall, 43% of meetings held resulted in new clients.”

Conference registration has been open to IAGTO tour operator and supplier members for two weeks and already more than 600 delegates have registered for all three events.

In conjunction with this announcement, IAGTO is launching a campaign to sign up new member companies and organizations from around the world of golf tourism, including golf resorts, hotels, golf courses, DMCs, golf operators and golf travel consultants.
