New Zealand announce Ben Sears as replacement for Test series against India

New Zealand have made significant adjustments to their playing squad Test series against Indiawill begin on October 16. A fast bowler Ben Sears was ruled out due to a knee injury.

“Obviously we’re disappointed with Ben who started his Test career well during the home summer and provided a real pace option,” New Zealand coach Gary Stead said in his official statement.

Replacing Ben Sears in the Test series against India

Ben Sears, who was part of the New Zealand first team, has torn the meniscus in his left knee during training during the tour of Sri Lanka. After the tests, it was decided that he will not be fit to participate in the series against India. In his case, he is not forgotten Jacob Duffy included in the Black Caps Test squad.

“It remains to be seen how long we will be without him, but we hope his recovery will be short.” This is an exciting opportunity for Jacob who has been in the Test team before.
