Meet GOLF’s new Fully Equipped hosts

You may have noticed that there is a new face (especially a new expression) on the Fully Equipped GOLF podcast.

While most Full Gear listeners already know Kris McCormack, who has been part of the show for almost four years, he is transitioning into a new role, leaving his previous job at True Spec to join GOLF full time as our Head of ClubTest and Gear. The data.

Kris is now joined by a new face in Pod Fully Equipped, Wadeh Maroun, president of GOLF’s sister company Fairway Jockey.

This week, the two decided to give you a brief introduction about themselves and how they got to where they are in the golf industry.

Wadeh Maroun: President, Fairway Jockey

Wadeh is a very new face (and accent) on the pod and in this week’s episode, he shares the details of his background and how he ended up at Fairway Jockey.

If you can’t tell, Wadeh was born and raised in Melbourne, Australia and didn’t come to the United States to live full time until 2013. He came to the US only in 2010 when he decided to do so. he quit his job and went traveling when he was 26.

“We bought a car and drove from one side of the country to the other and that’s how I met my wife,” he said.

Wadeh eventually decided to move to Arizona full time which is where he took up the game of golf. But he wasn’t in the golf business yet.

First, he worked for PetSmart where he helped the company acquire the Chewy brand. He then worked at the consulting firm Full Script.

He eventually got into golf when he was approached by a headhunter for a job at PXG to lead their digital marketing before eventually landing at Fairway Jockey two years later.

Kirs McCormack: Head of ClubTest and Gear Data, GOLF

Kris, sometimes known as “Cereal Killer” (more on that soon), has been on the Fully Equipped podcast since January 2021, but that was as the VP of True Spec’s Tour and Education.

Kris is a club fitness specialist, having spent six years prior to joining True Spec in 2018 as a club fitness specialist.

“I’m starting to create content. I can keep up with the podcast. I will be able to go out on the Tour again,” said Kris about his new role. “I’m very involved with gear and releases and working with our OEM partners and maintaining the relationship I have with True Spec, working with the partners I help train, but also working with Fairway jockey Miura, and other members from GOLF, and it helps bridge the gap that we’ve had , we bring some of our sisters. [8AM Golf] joint ventures.”

You may have heard Kris referred to as “The Character Killer” on the podcast and he doesn’t have a bad origin. He got a nickname in college because he couldn’t cook and his diet consisted of “all grains.”

Kris also identifies as a “Disney adult” and has what some would describe as an unhealthy obsession with Golf SWAG covers.
