There is good news for young UK golfers with the launch of the PING Junior Golf Tour.

The circuit will be aimed specifically at golfers aged 6-21, with the Grand Final taking place at Thonock Park in Gainsborough.

Golfers ages 6-12 will be featured on the Rookies Tour while all golfers under the age of 21 can compete on the Masters Tour.

This new initiative builds on a strong 15-year partnership with the Northern Junior Tour, extending the tour’s reach to a national level, providing competitive and exciting golf opportunities to a greater number of junior golfers.

While doing so, the tour remains committed to maintaining its community-driven spirit, introducing innovative and inclusive programs that will allow young players to develop their skills and grow within the sport.

“We are delighted to launch the PING Junior Golf Tour in 2025 and further expand our support of junior golf in the UK,” said Matt Clark, European Marketing Manager at PING Europe.

“We have a great relationship with Jason Budd (Founder/Tour Director) and Mike Greener (Tour Director) and they have done a great job of building an incredibly strong golf community.”

Achieving goals

In addition, the PING Junior Golf Tour is dedicated to supporting junior golfers at every stage of their journey, empowering them to play their best and achieve their goals on and off the course.

It will maintain its community-oriented nature, promote a supportive yet competitive environment for players of all skill levels, and reinforce PING’s commitment to nurturing young talent and developing the game at grassroots levels.

PING is very proud of this initiative and looks forward to seeing its positive impact on young golfers, providing them with an exciting and accessible path to competitive golf.

“Regardless of age or ability, we want everyone to come to our events, have fun and play their best,” added Clark.
