A member of the BCB selection panel gave details on the reason for Taskin’s exclusion.

The selector revealed that Taskin, who is regarded as the all-rounder in the team, will be out for 50 days to play the ODIs. Afghanistan and a full series against The West Indies.

“Taskin is our best cricketer and he will be flying away from home for 50 days as we have ODIs against Afghanistan followed by a full series against the West Indies,” a member of the selection panel told Cricbuzz.

The selector added that Taskin will be rested to keep him fresh for the long journey, in the season Khaled Ahmed included as a backup, with Nahid Rana again Hasan Mahmud fit and ready to play.
