It’s safe to assume that Vanderbilt University will attract more attention from top high school golfers across the country in the coming years.
Why? Because the Nashville school now has the largest golf facility in all of college golf.
On Monday, the Commodores unveiled their newly renovated Vanderbilt Golf House at the Vanderbilt Legends Club with a humorous video on social media that left golfers everywhere envious.
While the Golf House and adjacent short game area dates back to 2013, it recently underwent a major $11 million renovation.
The new-look building has doubled in size, and now features luxurious country club-style locker rooms, lounges and patios, as well as a state-of-the-art gym and training center.
It also sports a beautiful Hall of Fame dedicated to the greatest golfers who came through the Vanderbilt program. The superstars include PGA Tour pros Brandt Snedeker and Luke List, and LPGA pros Marina Alex and Auston Kim.
In fact Snedeker, a nine-time PGA Tour winner, was among a small group that donated funds to make the renovations possible.

While the list of Vanderbilt golf alums is impressive, the school’s current star may one day be its greatest alumnus: Gordon Sargent. Sargent was the NCAA individual champion in 2022, his freshman year. Maka won. The H McCormack Award in 2023 as the world’s best golfer, a title he still holds.
He played in two US Opens, one Open Championship and one Masters after receiving a special invitation in 2023.
In 2024, Sargent became the first player ever to earn his PGA Tour card through the PGA Tour university, a new program adopted in 2020 to create pathways for college golfers to Korn Ferry and the PGA Tours.
But in April Sargent announced he would withdraw his Tour card instead of remaining at Vanderbilt through the 2024-25 season. It’s unclear how much the newly renovated Vanderbilt Golf House influenced his decision.
