The Clube de Golf Santo da Serra in Madeira has established a partnership with the neighboring Enotel Santo da Serra, combining the prestigious course with prestigious hospitality for the first time.
Blessed with a peaceful yet easily accessible location just 10 minutes from Madeira airport and the capital city of Funchal, the new collaboration encompasses 104 hectares of land immersed in a tranquil landscape.
Fittingly, the Enotel Santo da Serra originally served as Santo da Serra’s first golf resort before being transformed into a premier hospitality venue. Today, this four-star hotel offers 68 luxurious rooms, swimming pools and a spa and Sabor da Terra restaurant.
Santo da Serra has attracted visiting golfers since 1937 and was revived in 1991 when renowned architect Robert Trent Jones designed 27 new holes.
The club’s Machico and Desertas courses have hosted 20 Madeira Islands Open events on the DP World Tour, while the smaller Serras courses have been favorites since they opened in 1998. All three nine-hole loops were designed by Trent Jones, one of the most well-known of them all. projects include Spyglass Hill, Valderrama and Adare Manor.
