GOLF recently released its latest ranking of the Top 100 Courses in the US (2024-25), a list that includes 11 new entrants. Some of them you may know. Some you may not. Here, in our new spotlight, we’ll present you with these top 100 rookie gems.

What you need to know about Interlachen
Andrew Green is a playbook master of restoring Golden Age ballpark treasures, and he did it again here outside of Minneapolis where Bob Jones won one leg of the Grand Slam. Among the improvements: the removal of unhealthy trees; fairway width restoration; and increasing Donald Ross vegetables in their filling pads. Green has also reintroduced Ross’ bunkering schemes, and many greens are now surrounded by short grass. Ross’s navigation along ridge lines creates memorable and unique holes such as the par-3 5th, par-4 6th, par-4 10th, par-5 12th and par-4 13th. The occasional water hazard adds to the variety of obstacles golfers must overcome. A well-played round here is a lot of fun as the course asks every imaginable question of the contestants.
