MI vs LSG: Here’s Jasprit Bumrah not playing today’s IPL 2024 match
They don’t host Mumbai Indians (MI) they cover the horns with Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in their last game of Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 season at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai.
Both teams are eager to end the season on a high note, although MI’s hopes have been dashed at the start of the tournament. On the other hand, LSG still has a slim chance of reaching the play-offs.
MI win the toss against LSG
MI captain Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to field first. He confirmed three changes to his side, the most notable being the addition of a small gun Arjun Tendulkarinstead of a seasoned pacer Jasprit Bumrah. This marks Tendulkar’s first game of the season after spending most of his time on the bench.
Tilak Varma‘s injuries and Tim DavidMI’s absence also disturbed MI. Their hitting hasn’t been the same this season, and their pitching hasn’t caught up.
Meanwhile, LSG made two changes to their lineup, replacing the opening batter Quinton de Kock with Devdutt Padikkal and choice Matt Henry to strengthen their bowling unit.
