Reaction on Twitter: Heinrich Klaasen, Shahbaz Ahmed steer SRH to final after thrashing RR in Qualifier 2 | IPL 2024
Sunriers Hyderabad (SRH) they booked their place in the finals Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 after defeating Rajasthan Royals (RR) at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai on Friday. Sunriser will now face off Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in the regular season conference.
Heinrich Klaasen gives SRH a competitive edge
Sunrisers Hyderabad posted a challenging total of 175 for 9 in their 20 overs. The innings was strengthened by Heinrich Klaasenwho scored an important 50 off 34 balls, including 4 sixes. Travis Head (34 off 28) and Rahul Tripathi (37 off 15) provided solid support at the top of the order, while Jaydev Unadkat scored a quick 5 off 2 balls in the over.
Rajasthan Royals bowlers had mixed results. Trent Boult again Avesh Khan they were the pick of the bowlers, each taking 3 wickets and conceding 45 and 27 runs, respectively. Sandeep Sharma he also chipped in with 2 wickets for 25 runs in his 4 overs, which gave him a crucial achievement.
Shahbaz Ahmed shines with the ball
In reply, Rajasthan Royals struggled to chase down the target and managed to score 139 for 7 in 20 overs. Despite a promising start Yashasvi Jaiswalwho hit a quickfire 42 off 21 balls, and a fighting 56 off 35 balls Dhruv Jurelthe Royals’ middle order crumbled under the pressure of a disciplined SRH bowling attack.
The bowlers of Sunrisers Hyderabad have been efficient and effective. Shahbaz Ahmed he is an outstanding player, taking 3 wickets for 23 runs in his 4 overs. Abhishek Sharma and impressed with figures of 2 for 24 in his 4 overs, during Pat Cummins again T Natarajan he took one wicket each, maintaining tight control over the run rate.
