Angkrish Raghuvanshi’s reaction
Raghuvanshi has apologized for making a careless comment about the Indian badminton star. Raghuvanshi posted on social media that Saina should prepare herself “Bumrah bouncer on his head”, referring to the dangerous delivery bowled by the Indian pace sensation Jasprit Bumrah. The comment was seen as inappropriate and disrespectful to the athlete, who is one of India’s most successful athletes.
19-year-old Raghuvanshi, a member of the Indian team that won the U-19 World Cup in 2022, responded to Nehwal’s words right from the start. He wrote “Let’s see how he does when Bumrah throws 150k bumpers at his head.”

In his apology, Raghuvanshi admitted that his remark was wrong and said that he did not mean to offend Nehwal. He said, “I’m sorry everyone, I meant my speech as a joke, looking back I think it was a really immature joke. I realize my mistake and sincerely apologize.”

The 18-year-old, who was part of India’s victorious under-19 world cup campaign in 2022, has been a revelation for KKR this season. Raghuvanshi announced his arrival in style, hitting a 27-ball 54 IPL batting debut against Delhi Capitals.
