Anthony Edwards Talks About MJ Comparisons

Anthony Edwards

Anthony Edwards is well aware of the Michael Jordan comparisons, but he’s heard enough.

“I want it to stop,” he told Melissa Rohlin of Fox Sports. “He is the greatest person ever. I will never be compared to him.”

However, the MJ comparisons are coming so thick and fast that it seems Edward is unlikely to get his wish.

Everyone from Kevin Garnett to Patrick Beverley has talked about the similarities between Edwards and Jordan.

The similarities are undeniable and multifaceted. First, there’s the facial features, playing style, postseason fearlessness, killer instinct and penchant for trash talking.

The resemblance to Jordan has always been there, but it’s more apparent than ever when Edwards made the leap to full stardom. There is no telling the heights the Wolves star can reach.

Edwards scored 43 points in his most recent game, and 40 the game before that. He is averaging 33.4 points in his five finals games so far, which is a big step up from his regular season average of 25.9 points per game.

The 22-year-old is on an uphill climb, and when he gets better, people often draw comparisons to Jordan.
