Arsenal and Man Utd’s pre-season preparations have been rocked by unsold tickets
The high prices mean Arsenal’s pre-season game with Manchester United at the SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles still has almost 20,000 tickets to replace before Saturday.
The two Premier League giants will play a friendly this summer in the United States at the 70,000-capacity stadium that is also home to the Los Angeles Rams and the Los Angeles Chargers, two NFL teams.
However, as revealed by Mail Sportsonly 51,000 tickets have been sold so far, and the high prices seem to be putting fans off attending.
The cheapest tickets for the game come in at $126 (£97) while the most expensive pass will set fans back a whopping $667 (£516).
Arsenal begin their pre-season schedule on Thursday morning with a clash against Bournemouth at Dignity Health Sports Park, while United are already two games into their summer calendar.
The Red Devils lost a long time against Rosenborg but came back to beat Scottish giants Rangers 2-0 at Murrayfield last Saturday.
Leny Yoro made his United debut in that win, while Andre Onana, Amad Diallo and Jadon Sancho also returned from their summer holidays to play. Marcus Rashford, Antony and Victor Lindelof were all absent due to minor injuries, while Harry Maguire, Scott McTominay and Tyrell Malacia are yet to join the squad in the US.
Meanwhile, Arsenal have announced a 26-man squad for the tour including players such as team captain Martin Odegaard, Ben White, Gabriel Jesus and Jurrien Timber.
Gabriel Magalhaes, Gabriel Martinelli and Kai Havertz will join their squad from July 25, but Declan Rice, Aaron Ramsdale, Bukayo Saka, David Raya and William Saliba will not make the move to America after their long run at Euro 2024.
