Bayern Munich offer Jamal Musiala contract review amid interest from Man City

Bayern Munich president Herbert Hainer has vowed to do everything possible to tie Jamal Musiala to a new contract.

Musiala, who has entered the last two years of his contract, has been heavily linked with Manchester City and has recently left fans sweating when he answered a question about his future in Munich stressing that he cannot predict where he will be playing in five years.

Asked if he sees what Musiala said as not committing to the team, Hainer told the media: “No, I don’t interpret it that way at all, because it is legal and as Jamal said. Who would have thought five years ago. that Saudi Arabia will suddenly emerge as a player and spend incredible money and bring in players?

“For me, what he says about FC Bayern is very important. That he values the club a lot and is focused on the next goals and wants to win titles.”

Hainer continued: “I have a lot of respect for Jamal. When you see the way he has developed, it is amazing. Many people say that one day he will be the best player in the world. We want to do everything possible to keep him at FC Bayern for a long time.

“In my opinion, he can easily be the next Thomas Muller and play here for the next 20 years. I really hope that we will see him at Bayern for a long time to come.”

Sports director Max Eberl also emphasized his confidence, revealing that he plans to sit down with Musiala’s representatives soon.

“We are always in contact, other discussions will follow,” said Eberl. “He should be the face of FC Bayern in the future. His journey at FC Bayern is far from over. He wants to win titles, and that’s what we want too.”
