Bernardo Silva is under ‘pressure’ when Man City take things easy
Bernardo Silva admits he is under pressure when Man City rest at the start of the season, meaning they have no margin for error in their Premier League run.
A run of seven points from six Premier League games between Bonfire Night and Christmas left Man City playing a key role in the title race.
They ended the season with nine consecutive wins to pip Arsenal to the title by two points and claim their fourth consecutive Premier League title.

The 29-year-old Portuguese told Sky Sports of his pride, saying: “Four in a row has never been done before. A lot of hard work (done) done in seven years.
“It’s very difficult, we should have won nine games in a row because Arsenal pushed us to the end. We are very proud of what we have achieved.”
The player who once played for Monaco said that City are full of belief in their abilities, but they do not enjoy the times when they play as if the pressure is over.
“We really know what we are capable of doing, but it is never comfortable because it is never good to stay in second or third place, we always want to be at the top of the league,” he said.

“Sometimes when the season starts when we don’t have so much pressure, the team relaxes a little when it’s not appropriate and when the season ends we keep compensating a little.
“If you ask me personally, I prefer to stay in the top for the whole season because there is pressure and pressure we have knowing that we have to win nine, 10 or 12 games in a row like we have been doing before. It’s very difficult.
“If you ask me, it’s not comfortable. We know we can run but you never know until you do.”
Silva also praised goalkeeper Stefan Ortega for his crucial save to deny Tottenham’s Son Heung-Min when he kept clean late in City’s penalty shootout of the season – which they led 1-0 at the time.
“It was an unbelievable save from our goalkeeper,” he said. “You need these special moments from players to win titles and that was the most important moment for us.”
