Robeisy Ramirez (14-2, 9 KOs) returned to winning ways with a seventh-round knockout of Brandon Leon Benitez (21-3, 9 KOs) in a featherweight bout Saturday night at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, Florida.
Ramirez, a former WBO featherweight champion, landed a left uppercut in the seventh round that put Benitez down. The fight was stopped at 2:46 of the round.
Benitez Frustrated by Ramirez’s Ability
Benitez was out of his depth against Robeisy and couldn’t penetrate the Cuban talent’s defense. In the middle of the fight, things looked bleak for Benitez because his face was covered in blood, he was not very punishing.
