Chelsea are eyeing a £30m fee for the Dutchman

Chelsea have been linked with a number of attackers ahead of the opening of the English transfer window next week. There are new reports that the Blues are looking for Leeds United star Crysencio Summerville.
Chelsea are set for a busy summer as they look to strengthen their ranks following a challenging 2023/24 season. After spending most of the Premier League in mid-table, the Blues managed to finish in sixth place, earning a place in the Europa Conference League. With this extra work, the team needs more strength in depth to compete in multiple areas.
The arrival of new manager Enzo Maresca, who left Leicester City to take over from Mauricio Pochettino, marks a major change in Chelsea’s strategy. Maresca is known to favor wide players, which may have influenced Chelsea’s transfer activities.
One player who has been linked with a move to Stamford Bridge is Leeds United’s Crysencio Summerville. Summerville, who was voted as the best player in the English second division last season, has been noticed for his good performance. He scored 21 goals and provided nine assists, showing his ability to make an impact at the highest level.
Chelsea will decide between Crysencio Summerville and Michael Olise
Reports suggest that Leeds are looking at bids, with a potential price tag of £30 million. This would represent a smart investment for the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool, especially if Summerville can’t replicate his form last season.
Chelsea have also been linked with Crystal Palace’s Michael Olise. However, the Eagles man comes with a price tag of around £60 million.
Given financial considerations, the Blues may opt for lower-priced options such as Summerville.
Transfer expert Ben Jacobs told GiveMeSport: “Leeds’ Crysencio Summerville would be a cheaper option at around half the price of Olise.
“Chelsea is still deciding the best way, as they know that Maresca appreciates players who play football at the top, but they are also full in this area.”
