Chelsea have been given a transfer warning for Colwill; Insider lifts lid on big Euro ‘talk’

Levi Colwill’s future at Chelsea Football Club will remain in jeopardy following Bayern Munich’s move in the market.

The Bavarian outfit were thought to be keen on securing the Englishman’s signature this summer. However, it has now emerged that, despite the defender’s name coming up in ‘club discussions’, a decision to sign Stuttgart’s Hiroki Ito is unlikely.

“It is true that Bayern Munich had Levi Colwill on the list; his name came up in the team discussions because Bayern are looking for a player like him,” Christian Falk told CaughtOffside in his exclusive Fact Files column.

“Now they have decided to sign Hiroki Ito from Stuttgart, so I don’t think they will move to Colwill now.”

The Blues are already involved in their significant transfer business ahead of the window opening tomorrow, June 14.

Fabrizio Romano has shared news of the arrival of Brazilian defender Pedro Lima following the acquisition of Tosin Adarabioyo on a free transfer. However, the first one will be completed with the BlueCo property Strasbourg.

In a turn of events, outspoken midfielder Dayot Upamecano looks set to enjoy a future in Munich under new manager Vincent Kompany.

The same, unfortunately, cannot be said for his Dutch defensive partner, Matthijs de Ligt.

“Bayern Munich wants to sell Matthijs de Ligt. For me, it’s sad, but in conversations with Vincent Kompany it became clear that the Dutch player is not one of the defenders that the new coach plans to have in 2024/25. De Ligt has a summer transfer window market,” Falk continued.

Therefore, it explains why the outfit of the Belgian diplomat is very determined to get another reinforcement at the back.

Another name that stands out in the crowd is Bayer Leverkusen’s Jonathan Tah who is being talked about by Bayern Munich this summer.
