TaylorMade dominates the bag for two-time major winner Collin Morikawa with all of his clubs from the same manufacturer.
Off the tee, you still trust the Qi10 driver, which uses a Low Spin model with 9 degrees of loft.
The Qi10 LS delivers low spin and low launch designed to improve performance for fast speed players. It has a deeper face and a more compact overall head shape than other clubs in the family.
Morikawa likes the SIM TI 3-wood with its v-shaped sole that allows for cleaner turf interactions and provides more flexibility when playing from hard or difficult fairways.
He also has a Qi10 5-wood in the bag, which includes proven TaylorMade technology such as the Thru-Slot Speed Pocket™ and a laser-etched topline. These features improve speed in low-profile shooting and promote consistently accurate alignment.
Morikawa’s 4-iron is the TaylorMade P7CB Proto, and his other irons are from the still-unreleased TaylorMade P7CB line.
Morikawa has switched to a full set of new P7CB instruments to help with turf interactions.
His selection of wedges is all from the Milled Grind 4 line which uses a laser etched Spin Tread and green face to provide better bite around the green and higher spin in wet conditions.
Morikawa’s 60-degree wedge was released in Milled Grind 4’s Tiger Woods edition. The club’s unique grind on the rocks was designed by the masterful hands of Tiger Woods himself. 60 degree has the highest bounce on the leading edge with a shaved heel.
His putter is a blade style putter with a classic and clean design. Using short and rounded contours to provide a smooth look at address, the Soto includes a single sight line on the back to aid in alignment. With less toe hang, full shaft offset, and two 10g sole weights, the Soto is optimized for golfers who prefer to release the toe through impact.
