Cristiano Ronaldo makes big predictions about Lamine Yamal and Jude Bellingham
Cristiano Ronaldo has backed Lamine Yamal and Jude Bellingham to become generation-defining talents in the future.
The pair, who represent El Clasico rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid, are already regarded as two of the world’s best young players aged 17 and 21 respectively, who have performed well at club and international level.
How far Yamal and Bellingham can go remains to be seen, but Ronaldo believes the young stars will reach the top of football if fate is kind to them.
Starting with Yamal, Ronaldo told him YouTube channel: “I see great potential and great talent. He needs luck, because he’s still very young. I hope he doesn’t have any problems.
“He has a tournament that helps him a lot. The Spanish national team is really good, and I think they have a lot of potential. Let’s see what will happen. I believe he will be one of the best players of this new generation. .”
Determined to show his glory with Bellingham, Ronaldo has admitted that a move to Madrid this summer has helped the Englishman take his game to the next level.
“Great energy,” Ronaldo said of Bellingham. “Great talent.
“He came to the club when the environment was clean, it was beautiful, and he has grown up like the others. [Eduardo] Camavinga, Rodrygo, Vinicius…He is in a team that helps him become a great player and I believe he will be one of the best players of the next generation.”
Yamal and Bellingham are expected to meet on October 26, when Barcelona will visit the Santiago Bernabeu to face Madrid.
