Crystal Palace and West Ham United will both be aiming for their first points of the 2024/25 Premier League season when they meet on Saturday afternoon.
The Eagles will host the game at Selhurst Park following their disappointing and somewhat controversial defeat to Brentford on the opening weekend. Eberechi Eze’s goal was harshly ruled out of play and Oliver Glasner’s men ended up losing 2-1 following Yoane Wissa’s effort in the 76th minute.
West Ham suffered a similar fate in their first Premier League game. They lost 2-1 to Aston Villa on home soil, with John Duran’s winner coming in the 79th minute. Julen Lopetegui is heading to London in search of his first win as Hammers manager following an eventful summer in the transfer market.

Glasner probably has a fully fit squad to choose from on Saturday, with Matheus Franca the only absentee with a rib injury. The 20-year-old should be back in the next few weeks.
Surprisingly, Jean-Philippe Mateta started up front against Brentford last week despite having just returned from the Summer Olympics. He lasted just 45 minutes before being replaced by Odsonne Edouard.
Joachim Andersen has agreed a move to Fulham and will likely miss out as a result, while Jordan Ayew may be out following reports of a move to Leicester City.

There could be debuts for Niclas Fullkrug, Crysencio Summerville, Jean-Clair Todibo and Aaron Wan-Bissaka this weekend.

Crystal Palace have already beaten Lopetegui’s West Ham in pre-season and will fancy their chances of doing the same at Selhurst Park this Saturday.
The Hammers have kept one clean sheet during the friendlies and look open at the back despite strengthening their defence. The likes of Eze, Ismaila Sarr and Daichi Kamada could use the opportunity in the capital.
However, West Ham have been consistent goalscorers in the early days of Lopetegui’s tenure and have too much attacking talent to keep Palace out of the running without the dynamic Andersen.
