Summer coach Jorgen Strand Larsen played more than an hour against the Hammers, with a number of young players also given minutes by O’Neil.

Friendlies often produce surprising and surprising results, as shown by Palace’s recent 6-3 win over Crawley. Maryland could see another high-scoring affair, ending Thursday, with both sides boasting plenty of offensive talent.

Wolves and Palace have been in fine goal-scoring form throughout pre-season but the former boasted a solid defence, conceding just once in three outings. That could give them a boost as Old Gold’s new signings up front have looked impressive at the other end.
