‘Don’t test me!’ – Vincent Kompany explains angry outburst at Burnley player in viral clip

Former Burnley manager Vincent Kompany says he lost his cool with Johann Berg Gudmundsson last season because they ‘gave our lives for our team’.

For the 2022/23 and 2023/24 seasons, the Clarets have given Sky Sports behind-the-scenes access to film a series of documentaries at the club.

Before the release of the second season, a clip appeared on social media of Kompany criticizing Gudmundsson in training with anger and violence.

“Joey, don’t test me. Don’t test me. Enough moaning. Enough moaning!” Kompany shouted.

“Play football. You have to work for everything. F***ing play! How many times do I have to tell you? Stop moaning.

“What? Anyone want to talk to the group?

After Gudmundsson protested his innocence, Kompany replied: “No, you were moaning about everything!

Burnley were eventually relegated from the Premier League, and Kompany was appointed head coach of Bayern Munich.

In interview no DH les Sports+Kompany elaborated on the verbal explosion with Gudmundsson.
