Draymond Green Gets Into a Heated Exchange with Reporters at Media Day

It’s day one and Draymond Green is already in attack mode, after a goal San Francisco Chronicle Reporter Scott Ostler at the Warriors’ Media Day event.

Ostler went off on a tangent when he said “people” including his fans and “probably his teammates” are worried about Green, but Draymond stopped him before he could finish his question.

Ostler seemed to be trying to address people who are worried about Green’s availability this season after being suspended for a long time in previous seasons.

But Green thought he meant that people were worried about him in general, which led to tension between the two.

“Why are they worried about me? “I’m a successful black person in America who is doing incredibly well,” Green said in the video 95.7 The Game. “What do you have to worry about me?”

Ostler continues to say. “They are worried about you.”

Green replied, “There are more people to worry about in this world than me. That’s for sure.”

Ostler replied, “But we are here now.”

Green replied, “We all are. I don’t think you should worry about me. I am doing very well. If you had told me that I was 13 years old in Saginaw, Michigan without a pee potty, that you would be sitting here and someone would say they were worried about me. I would probably tell them they were crazy. If I am sitting here, they will worry about me.”

Despite Ostler’s repeated attempts to explain, the Warriors star was having none of it.

Draymond has made it clear that he is always available to his teammates.

“It’s all about the way you spin it,” said Green, as he ran out of saliva, trying to defuse the situation. “I like the way you try to spin it – but it’s not my spin on it, player.”
