England’s Ben Stokes has lost control over allegations of favoritism for The Hundred over regional matches

The journalist’s criticism provoked a furious response from Stokes

When did the conflict start? Scott WilsonUK columnist, went to X to criticize Stokes, questioning his absence from county cricket while he was involved in The Hundred. Wilson’s post reads:

“So Ben Stokes is not allowed to play any county cricket for #Durham during the summer, but it’s ok to mess around in the Hundred circus, pull a hamstring and keep him out for the rest of the summer. It’s totally facial,”

Stokes did not hold back in his response, proving the accuracy of Wilson’s statement by replying:

“Great Sports Writer??? I played 3 Championship games for Durham this year. “
