Midfielder Jude Bellingham says England players “admire” Ollie Watkins and will face the Spanish side with a chance to make it six when the sides meet in the Uefa Euro 2024 final at Berlin’s Olympiastadion on Sunday (20). :00 BST).
Bellingham survived a third straight extra-time appearance in the final when Watkins scored in the 90th minute to give the Three Lions a 2-1 victory at the expense of the Netherlands in Dortmund.
“Thank you very much because I don’t know if I have half an hour to myself,” Real Madrid star Bellingham told ITV Sport.
“I am very happy for him. He came and took his chance. I couldn’t be prouder. The whole team is in a frenzy about him. He is a hero and he saved us.”

England vs Spain: La Roja ‘amazing’
Spain had a quiet road to the final, despite coming from behind to beat France 2-1 in Tuesday’s final.
Bellingham’s header in the fifth minute of extra time in the second half of regular time kept England in the tournament in the round of 16 against Slovakia.

“In these games, we come together as a team,” Bellingham said. “We have delivered again. These times are good. They unite us as a team and a family. It’s about bringing that to the finals.
“Spain looked amazing. They were really good but it’s one game and anything can happen. I am sure we will sit down, watch them and analyze properly. It will be fun to walk with them.”
Euro 2024 final: England looking for redemption
Xavi Simons opened the scoring in England’s semi-final with a stunning finish, denying Declan Rice’s goal before finishing past Pickford from outside the box seven minutes later.
Kane won and scored a penalty 11 minutes later, sending a pinpoint strike under the diving head of Brighton & Hove Albion goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen.
Watkins’ heroics meant England reached their second successive Euro final, having lost to Italy on penalties in the 2020 edition of the World Cup.
