Every player that comes out of Liverpool competes

Manchester United will be looking to bounce back from their narrow defeat to Brighton & Hove Albion when they host their fierce rivals Liverpool on Sunday in the Premier League.

The Red Devils are yet to find their feet in 2024/25 after a Community Shield defeat on penalties, an upset at the Amex Stadium and a late victory over Fulham. A good result against Liverpool could start their campaign.

However, injuries continue to make life difficult for Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford. The Dutch coach is on his deadline to sign the undrafted Manuel Ugarte, with a number of his new Man Utd teammates stuck in the treatment room.

Joshua Zirkzee made an impressive start to life at Man Utd with the winning goal on his debut against Fulham two weeks ago, but the Ten Hag have routinely used Bruno Fernandes as a false nine so far this season. That could be the case this weekend, too.

Fernandes’ promotion came as a result of injury Rasmus Hojlundwho picked up a hamstring against Arsenal in pre-season. The Danish striker could return after the international break.
