Focus on investing in emerging talent – a change in Chelsea’s transfer strategy?
Chelsea have invested madly in many promising youngsters under Todd Boehly. It has emerged as part of a strategy under the new leadership.
It seems that the new leadership is focused on building a long-term project against the Roman Abramovich era, where Chelsea spent a lot of money on first team players.
Chelsea currently have the youngest squad in the Premier League, and although their season was disappointing in many parts, they ended the season on a strong note.
Perhaps, with the right timing and Mauricio Pochettino’s support, the long-term project will bear fruit sooner rather than later.
