India’s second innings declaration at 287/4 was propelled by some outstanding centuries Shubman Gill (119*) and Rishabh Pant (109). Their smooth stroke play extended India’s lead and allowed Rohit Sharma to declare with confidence. The partnership not only strengthened India’s dominance but ensured that Bangladesh would face an insurmountable target of 515 for victory.
