Fans go wild as England secure semi-final spot with emphatic win over USA at 2024 T20 World Cup

Of ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024, England faced the United States of America in Match 49 of Super 8 Group 2 at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown. Winning the toss, England captain Jos Buttler he chose to bowl first, a decision that proved to be beneficial.

USA struggles with England’s bowling attack

USA, opens with Steven Taylor again Andries Gous, managed to get off to a good start but soon found themselves up against England’s proper bowling. Despite the brief resistance that appears Nitish Kumarwho scored 30 off 24 balls with one six, four and two, and Corey Andersonwho added 29 off 28 balls, the American batting line-up faltered. Harmeet Singh he put on a late knock of 21 off 17 balls, but the rest of the team couldn’t hold back. Chris Jordana hat-trick of 19 in the 19th over was the highlight, as he took four wickets for just 10 runs. Adil Rashid and did an impressive job, taking two wickets for 13 runs in his four overs. USA were bowled out for 115 in 18.5 overs.

England complete a strong chase

Chasing a modest target of 116, England’s openers, Philip Salt again Jos Buttler, took over from the start. Buttler played the captain’s ball, hitting 83 off 38 balls, including six fours and seven sixes. Salt based with 25 stability in 21 balls. The duo’s powerful batting saw England reach the target in 9.4 overs without losing a wicket.
