South African women scored a crucial 10-wicket victory Women of the West Indies in Match 3 of ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024held at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium. Electing to bowl first after winning the toss, South Africa did an excellent job all round to completely dismiss the West Indies target.
Nonkululeko Mlaba stands out with football
West Indies women bowled out 118/6 in their 20 overs, struggling to build momentum throughout their innings. Stephanie Taylor he is the standout player, scoring 44 runs off 41 balls, including two fours and a six. The West Indies bowlers failed to do anything wrong, as the South African openers were able to accelerate their innings with ease. Despite their efforts, the West Indies bowling unit lacked the penetration needed to put pressure on the South African batsmen.
Mlaba’s good performance with football earned him the best player award. His four-wicket haul played a major role in disrupting the West Indies batting and confirming South Africa’s dominance in the game.
