Davis kept pushing forward and applying a lot of pressure, but couldn’t get anything of substance in the second round. Tank Davis landed a lead left hand followed by a one-two combination in the midsection of round three.
Davis continued to lure Martin into the corner, but Martin was able to land a solid counter left. Defending WBA champion Gervonta Davis warmed up in the fourth round as he landed some solid shots to Martin’s head and body.
In the fifth round of the bout, Davis landed a hard right hook, but Martin responded by firing two shots of his own. Davis was in rhythm as he was hitting his best in the sixth round.
Tank appeared to be in complete control in the seventh as he took down Martin and landed a hard, accurate power shot. Martin used a jab early in the 8th round, but still allowed Tank Davis to take him to the ropes.
With 1:45 left in the eighth round, Davis landed a left uppercut followed by a left that sent Martin down to the canvas. Martin was counted out, and Davis proceeded to climb to the top rope and do his signature back flip.

Gervonta “Tank” Davis is an undefeated next-generation talent, and he currently looks unstoppable at 135 and could be as high as 140. Floyd Mayweather set the standard by retiring with a 50-0 record, but by the looks of things, Tank Davis can’t. he had 51-0 on his radar.
