Golf Business News – Amazing Golf introduces new ‘real’ courses in simulator environment

Golf simulator software company Great Detail has introduced two ‘real’ golf courses to its Awesome Golf Simulator platform, as well as some new additions to some of its most popular features.

Existing users of all compatible launch monitors will gain access to Wentworth’s historic West Course and Dubai’s spectacular Majlis course at Emirates Golf Club as part of its 3.0 software update. 3.0 also includes a new Virtual Golf leaderboard, global Virtual Golf tournaments, five new clubs to play with and gold bricks in its iconic Wrecking Balls game.

An in-house development team has been working on these courses since signing a license agreement earlier this year, perfecting the software. The product has been extensively Beta tested in recent months with Frank Fasano of Golficity commenting: “Make no mistake, this is the amazing golf update we’ve all been waiting for! The addition of two new 18-hole championship golf courses takes the program to a whole new level, and makes it one of the best golf simulator software programs we’ve ever tested.”

As well as creating a realistic representation of these famous courses, the team has personally modified the course to give users a choice of five different positions – as they exist on the existing virtual golf courses of Awesome. This makes these championship courses fun and playable for golfers of all ages and abilities, and the very short course ensures that the course is hazard-free.
