Golf Business News – Foley makes SALTEX debut with new fast-spinning grinder

Foley will be marking his debut as an exhibitor at Saltex by unveiling his new Grinder 642 Quick Spin Reel.

The 642 brings a whole new meaning to fast cycling. Designed to accommodate very wide shear cylinders and is a simple fold-to-grind solution, the machine sits at ground level. The in-and-out wheel action eliminates all need for heavy lifting equipment, changing the way groundsman and groundskeepers look at grinding touch-up spin.

Foley Company’s Professional Grinders already offer the best spinning and blade sharpening methods and the new Foley 642 Quick Spin Grinder will complement these methods. It provides a quick, easy-to-use option for providing quick touch-ups, in between regular grinding schedules. It is also the perfect solution for sharpening extra wide, heavy duty cuts used in sports fields/stadiums, which are often difficult to load into a conventional grinder.

The Foley 642 Quick-Spin features easy-to-use controls, a counter balanced spin drive, a patented front and rear tie-down system for foot mowers and rear power cylinders. Spin only, it has variable cutting speed and variable spin speed. It will accept up to 42” reel diameter and operates on 240v/15a.

The Foley Company is looking to provide production models that will be available in the New Year.
