Greenkeepers and golf club managers now have the opportunity to influence the R&A’s Golf Course 2030 program through a survey designed to identify drivers and needs for sustainable grassland management in the future.

Golf Course 2030 aims to help golf courses reduce the impact of climate change, resource constraints and regulation on course conditions and playability, according to R&A GC2030 Project Manager John Kemp. It promotes sustainable golf course management practices to ensure the best playing conditions for golfers.

“As part of the ongoing development of Golf Course 2030, we need input and feedback from industry stakeholders to assess the impact of what the project has delivered so far and what is needed for the future. That will ensure that it continues to provide effective support to course managers and clubs,” said Kemp.

“Golf Course 2030 supports golf facilities, groundskeepers and industry consultants with valuable information to make informed day-to-day business decisions about how they manage their golf course.

“It is important that we identify how useful the guidance and resources provided by Golf Course 2030 have been, and their impact in helping golfers and turf managers make the necessary changes in their operations and identify future needs to inform business development.”

Conservationists and golf course managers can take a five-minute survey here.
