Golf Business News – Kuala Lumpur Invites AGIF Conference

In conjunction with the richest LPGA Tour event in the region, the 2024 Asian Golf Industry Federation (AGIF) Conference will be held in the Malaysian capital.

Featuring high-level speakers, the Conference will be held on October 23-24 at the Sime Darby Convention Centre, on the grounds of the Kuala Lumpur Golf & Country Club (KLGCC).

Next to the West Course at KLGCC, the US$3 million Maybank Championship – titled Nelly Korda, Lydia Ko, Ayaka Furue, Atthaya Thitikul again Rose Zhang – will be held from October 24-27.

“To be given the opportunity to play the Summit at the same venue and in the same week as the biggest high-profile golf event on the Asian calendar was too good to pass up,” he said. Chris GrayAGIF President.

Located less than 20 minutes from the Kuala Lumpur city center, the Sime Darby Convention Center is surrounded by greenery and accessible from five major highways.

Among the keynote speakers at the Summit will be Gray, Head of Sustainable Golf & Agronomy Asia-Pacific at the R&A, and Mark DonohueRegional Manager for Southeast Asia at Rain Bird.

After two successful years at the Sheraton Grand Hotel in Danang, the third edition of the largest annual gathering of Asian tanners and fashion designers is set to head to Vietnam’s capital Hanoi.

“Hanoi and Vietnam are always on our radar. We enjoyed our two years in Vietnam and expect to return there with the Summit in the not too distant future,” said Gray.
