Golf Business News – LIV Golf appoints new comms officer

LIV Golf has appointed Ilana Finley as Chief Corporate Communications Officer, a role that will see her lead all global communications for LIV Golf, including external and internal communications for the league and its 13 teams, as well as the International Series.

Finley joins LIV Golf after serving as Vice President of Global Communications and Social Impact for Converse Inc, where he led all external and internal communications for the organization. In addition, he oversees the footwear brand’s corporate giving strategy, driving improved access and opportunity for underserved populations while strengthening community relations.

Finley moved to Converse after an 18-year stint at Nike, where he held multiple communications positions covering nearly every aspect of the business. He directed communications for Nike’s Olympic programs, served as Communications Director for the organization’s Central and Eastern Europe business, and led communications for Nike’s Emerging Markets efforts across Central and South America, Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand. . Finley also served as Director of Integrated Communications for the Nike Foundation, where she led advocacy programs for girls in developing countries across Africa, India and South America, advancing the company’s investment strategy in international communities.

Finley’s appointment is the latest addition to the league’s elite leadership team. In the past six months, LIV Golf has added Adam Harter as Chief Marketing Officer, David Phillips as Chief Financial Officer, Katie O’Reilly as Executive Vice President, Head of Corporate Operations, Ross Hallett as Senior Vice President, Head of Events, and appointed Tim Taylor as Senior Vice President and Head of the Society’s London office.
