Manor House Golf Club has continued its drive towards sustainable golf course operations by implementing a series of new initiatives to help reduce its environmental footprint.

Having recently received GEO certification – a coveted industry award presented to global teams that have demonstrated a long-term commitment and the importance of sustainable practices in all aspects of operations – the famous Exclusive Collection’s Wiltshire location continues its drive to promote sustainability by introducing an additional range. of steps.

As well as distributing the wooden bag markers found on the course to all new members, Manor House – where you can enjoy golf on another level amongst 365 acres of beautiful Cotswolds countryside – is replacing Perspex signs with wooden signs and installing recycling bins. across the course.

The club continues to work closely with the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust to gain a greater understanding of the wildlife that inhabits the prestigious par-72 parkland layout, while work continues on a long-term bunkering project, incorporating BunkerMat technology. there are more than 80 bunkers to improve the retention of sand on steep slopes.

The golf club’s manager, Andy Ryan, said: “Despite recently receiving GEO certification, the club refuses to take its foot off the pedal and continues to push forward to ensure the golf club is run in a sustainable manner.

“This is something that as a B-Corp company we strive to achieve and we would not be able to do it without the continuous efforts of all staff members.”
