Golf Business News – Motocaddy supports many small golf programs

Motocaddy, the world’s leading electric cart brand, is putting its full weight behind supporting junior golf this year by sponsoring the game’s leading junior tours and partnering with social media influencers to help inspire the next generation of golfers.
After a successful first season last year, Motocaddy continues as title sponsor of the British Junior Golf Tour (BJGT), a not-for-profit organization that brings together more than 25 events – including last month’s opening event at Caversham Golf Club in Reading – for the talented. boys and girls in all its divisions with nine holes, 18 holes and the Order of Merit.
The renewed sponsorship sees banners everywhere throughout the event and on the BJGT website, as well as brand exposure across all digital and social media channels, with trolleys and bags provided as prizes for competitors at selected events.
Offering youngsters an Approved Golf Development Program supported by the DP World Tour, BJGT is the UK’s leading junior golf tour with 18 years’ experience of delivering exciting, quality golf competitions for junior golfers of all abilities aged 5-18.
“We really enjoyed working with Motocaddy last year and are excited to have them back for what will be another amazing season,” said BJGT Director, Neil Randall. “Boys and girls like to see such a big product supporting them and having banners on the course to make it sound like the main events they see on television. The support from Motocaddy is important to the work we are doing to grow and develop junior golf in this country and we appreciate the partnership that helps us achieve this,” he added.
Motocaddy has also extended its partnership as the Official Golf Trolley of the Clutch Junior Tour. The brand will continue to work closely with the Tour to help inspire future generations with on-site and off-site support for six events starting later this month.
In the US Motocaddy will be the official partner of the Future Champions Junior Golf Tour (FCG), covering event marketing and digital exposure across all marketing and communications channels. The FCG Tour features five levels of junior golf tournaments catering to all levels of junior golf, and the Collegiate Series features special events for players ages 16-23.

“Supporting these fantastic young programs in our key markets is about working with their amazing teams to create a fun environment for those who participate and encourage more young players to join the sport,” said Motocaddy’s Marketing Director, Oliver Churcher.
Motocaddy has also signed an official partnership with social media influencers @JoshyTheGolfer and @Father_Son_Golf to produce engaging content across their rapidly growing platforms.
At just 11 years old, Josh Bland sports a 7.9 handicap and has nearly 20,000 followers on Instagram through his @joshythegolfer handle. Captain of the Northants County U14s Team, he has already created YouTube content for the likes of Tubes and Ange Golf Life, Gaz Golf, Clubface UK and Logan Deyong. As well as playing in as many BJGT events as possible, he will be flying out to compete in the IMG World Championships in California in July, followed by the World Championships at Lough Erne in Ireland.
Andy and Riley Banks form the infamous Father and Son team that boasts over 80,000 followers through high and low golf on all of their social media platforms. From the beginning of their social media journey, both Andy and Riley have used Motocaddy electric carts and will continue to do so as official ambassadors as part of #TeamMotocaddy this year.
