Golf Business News – Paultons hits the net with new management appointments
Global Edition
Paultons Golf Center in Hampshire has appointed former junior footballer Rebecca Cork as its new Assistant General Manager.
The 25-year-old from Southampton joins Paultons from Stoneham Golf Club where he began his career in the golf industry after suffering an ACL injury while playing for Spain’s Elite Talavera.
“Working in the golf industry is great,” says Cork, who has a degree in Sports Marketing from Solent University. “People are really welcoming, it’s a great place to be. I am interested in providing as many opportunities as possible for people to try this sport in a friendly and relaxed environment. With driving distance and schooling, Paultons is perfect for that, and I’m excited to have the freedom to try new things here.
One of the events Rebecca has introduced is the monthly Balls & Bubbles event for women only at the Toptracer Driving Range. On the first night over 30 women attended, including staff from Paultons and sister site Bramshaw Golf Club, including General Manager Molly Pavey, who commented: “Rebecca has an infectious personality and dedication to creating safe environments for people to come and try golf. first of all, without judgement, it’s really encouraging. The Balls & Bubbles night was the perfect combination of instruction, fun and fizz. I can’t wait to see how this night unfolds.”
