Harry Kane surpassed Wayne Rooney’s Champions League record after scoring four in Bayern’s 9-2 win over Dinamo Zagreb.

Bayern Munich started their Champions League campaign in impressive fashion, beating Dinamo Zagreb 9-2, with Harry Kane putting in a superb performance.

The striker from England was the one who fought on the night, scoring four goals, including three from penalties.

Kane opened the scoring early on, calmly slotting home the penalty by sending the keeper the wrong way.

Bayern continued to assert their dominance, and Kane quickly grabbed his second goal using the rebound to extend the lead to 4-2.

He completed his hat-trick with another clinical penalty, firing from the same corner as before. Kane’s fourth goal came from the third penalty, dispatched confidently with a pause in the build-up.

With this incredible display, Kane overtook Wayne Rooney to become the English player with the most goals (33) in the Champions League.

His tally now stands at nine goals in his last three games for club and country, cementing his reputation as one of the most dangerous strikers in Europe.
