Costs associated with organizing matches in venues not traditionally equipped for cricket, combined with lower-than-expected attendances and income from local sponsorships, played a significant role in the financial decline. Additionally, the costs incurred in promoting cricket in a non-traditional area may be greater than the financial benefits at the time.
