Jadon Sancho joined Chelsea from Manchester United this summer and his career is off to a great start.
The English midfielder won the Man of the match award against Bournemouth for his excellent performance.
The former Borussia Dortmund winner assisted the Blues’ late game winner.
Apart from that, his chemistry and understanding with the Chelsea players looked solid and some of his passes to create chances were fantastic.
Journalist Ben Jacobs discussed Sancho’s relationship with Chelsea manager Maresca.
Jacobs revealed what impressed the new Chelsea player about the manager.
He wrote for GiveMeSport:
“Sancho is also impressed by Maresca’s management, the Italian player’s private conversation with the player makes it clear that this player who once ran for United is now white and will not look back when he played at Old Trafford.
“That is in line with the already close relationship with the current Blues star, Nkunku, who helped the winners on the south coast.”
A fresh start at Chelsea could change Jadon Sancho’s career
It is a chance for Sancho to get his career back on track after failing to make an impact at Man United following his big money move.
His relationship with Man United manager Erik ten Hag was not the best and he suffered badly at Old Trafford.
He was kicked out of the team due to disagreements with the manager and was loaned to Dortmund last season.
The player is disappointed with the way he is being treated by the manager and his exit seems certain when he got into an argument with the manager.
At Chelsea, Maresca treated him differently and showed him respect and made him comfortable in a new place.
The player got off to an impressive start at Chelsea with a Man of the Match performance on his debut.
